The J.H.S School was established on the principles of philosophy of life taught and followed by “The Most Reverend” on the orders of Creator. It stands for Judgment, Honesty and Service. One who brings J.H.S into life will prospect in both the worlds.
Many educational institutions were established by Mrs S S Banu since 1973. Her contribution in the field of education is widely recognised and cited by government of Karnataka, government of India and N.G.O’s abroad. The CBSE school was founded by her in the year 2003 to fulfil the dreams of children who are not born with silver spoon. She is a strict disciplinarian and an educationist of repute who firmly believes literacy is the only cause for development of future citizens of our beloved motherland.
The school has classes from Pre primary to class X. Pre primary was started in the year 2003 and primary in 2005. It obtained No Objection Certificate from government of Karnataka and got duly affiliated to have secondary school in 2013. Till date the school has sent 9 batches of class X. And the results were either cent percent first classes or cent percent distinctions since inception.
The scholastic activities in the school includes computer education, physical education, health education and value education apart from 3 languages and core subjects prescribed by CBSE. As far as co scholastic activities are concerned, the school provides platform for students to learn and exhibit their capabilities in cultural, literary and aesthetics like art and craft, calligraphy, fashion designing, beauty parlour, dance, drama, theatre, painting, extempore, essay writing, poetry writing, recitation and quiz. Further, training is provided in pottery, carpentry and tailoring for children class 6 and above. Sports activities in the school happen in both indoor and outdoor. Children participate in basketball, volleyball, badminton, cricket, carrom and chess in addition to regular physical training activities.
School outbound activities such as educational trips as well as excursions to different places of importance go along with N.C.C and school band team who are most sought after by local community for neighbourhood social services. To keep abreast with the recent trends in school education, principal and faculty undergo regular Inservice Training in art and science of pedagogy, evaluation and management of learners from eminent educationalists and organisations. Further, annual induction program and workshop are common features of the school.
The management has the privilege of holding regular meetings with each of the school stakeholders - parent, teacher, students, community and school managing committee.
The school is widely popular in the neighbourhood for its celebrations of National Festivals, State Festivals and School Functions such as Children’s day, Teacher’s day, Investiture, Farewell and school Annuals.
It is worth mentioning about the achievement of one of our students - Anil Kumble who was trained by the founder principal of school. Last but not the least, the management proposes to offer class XI and XII in the coming years in order to fulfil its strong vision of providing holistic education and make India stronger.
